A “world-class” player is welcomed to Liverpool

Joshua Kimmich is said to be set to join Manchester City this year, although Liverpool have been linked with the Bayern Munich star.

The Germany international has moved away from the German giants in recent weeks and Liverpool are said to be interested in signing Kimmich.

The midfielder could be on his way out of Bayern as Kimmich is currently under contract until 2025, which could make the 28-year-old available for just £25m.

According to the Daily Star, however, Kimmich wants to join Pep Guardiola’s City over Liverpool, Manchester United are also interested in the Bayern star.

Dubbed a “world-class” player by Julian Nagelsmann, Kimmich joining City would be quite a move by the reigning Premier League champions considering how good the midfielder is.

For Liverpool, a top player like Kimmich joining rivals City is a devastating event as the Reds are fully aware of how useful the Bayern man can be under Jurgen Klopp..
