The 49ers have the luxury of sitting at home this weekend as they finished the 2023 regular season 12-5 and atop the NFC.
As his team waits to see who they will play in their first game of the 2023 season, San Francisco All-Pro lineman Deebo Samuel recently took some time to answer some questions about “Up and Adams.” ” show with Kay Adams.
At one point, Samuel was asked to describe each 2023 NFC playoff team in one word, and for the Green Bay Packers, he chose “sneaky” (via Up and Adams on Twitter).
As for some of the other teams in the NFC playoffs this season, the 49ers described the Los Angeles Rams as “intimidating,” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as “physical” and the Detroit Lions as “explosive.“
Samuel did not choose the right word to describe the Philadelphia Eagles, a team he has been associated with in the recent past.
In the first playoff game of the 2023 season, San Francisco and their top wide receiver could face the Eagles, Bucs, Rams or Packers.
The 49ers faced and beat Philadelphia, Tampa Bay and Los Angeles during the regular season, so the only team they haven’t faced in the last 12 months is Green Bay.
San Francisco will officially know which team it will host in the divisional round of the playoffs after Monday..
