Philadelphia Eagles’ first-round draft pick slammed by Nick Sirianni and advised to be benched

The Philadelphia Eagles have been advised to bench their first-round pick, who has been described as “overweight” and “out of shape.”

Jordan Davis, the 2023 Super Bowl runner-up’s No. 13 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has faced criticism for his physical condition.

On the PHLY Eagles podcast, former NFL offensive lineman and leading analyst Brian Baldinger delivered a harsh critique, saying, “It is clear that [he] is out of shape.”

“I’m sure they fine him every week.” He’s overweight, and it’s obvious. He’s not chasing the ball, and he’s useless in the pass rush. So, if he’s going to play with effort and be overweight like that, you have to believe that they’re a man short in rotation.

“He’s ineffective.”

They currently require another inside defensive tackle in their rotation. I’m not sure why he continues to dress; he’s ineffective. When the game is on, he’s basically walking on the field; it’s a poor effort.
