Todd Boehly was present at Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Fulham at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
Todd Boehly has become the face of Chelsea’s new ownership group, but according to the Daily Mail, the American has taken a step back at the club, with fellow co-owner Behdad Eghbali taking on more responsibility.
According to journalist Bobby Vincent, Boehly was at Stamford Bridge to watch Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat their west London rivals and came on to the pitch after the game alongside co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.
What did the three of them talk about? Perhaps you should transfer your business. With the transfer window still open, Winstanley and Stewart can bring in new players.
Boehly was present at the Bridge to witness Chelsea’s significant victory. They needed to bounce back after losing to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup earlier in the week, and they had the chance to climb the Premier League table.
They accomplished this and are now ranked eighth. European football appears to be an attainable goal once more.
Although Champions League qualification is unlikely, Chelsea can still qualify for the Europa League.
Boehly and Eghbali would have hoped for more than that going into the season, but Pochettino’s season has not been easy.
With Christopher Nkunku and Romeo Lavia out, the Argentine has had to deal with a slew of injuries.
