Crystal Palace currently have some notable young prospects coming through the academy, including young winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

The 21-year-old is one of the club’s best young talents at the moment and had an excellent loan spell at Charlton in League One last season, scoring 15 goals and providing nine assists.

The winger has missed part of this season through injury, but is back in training ahead of Tuesday’s crucial match against Sheffield United.

However, it is possible that he will go out on loan again in the January transfer window as Championship leaders Southampton are now interested in the youngster.

A report from London News Online has now claimed that Southampton, who are aiming to return to the Premier League under Russell Martin, are interested in signing the right-back on loan. outfielder

Leicester previously signed him, but the departure of Wilfried Zaha meant he stayed at the club and made eight appearances before suffering a hamstring injury this season.

Returning to full fitness, Palace simply need to give Rak-Saky a chance. first team The new face of the talented youngster in the wings of Jeffrey Schlupp and Will Hughes would offer a rare positive this season.

Roy Hodgson came under fire for criticizing Rak-Saky after the substitute when he threw the club’s younger players under the bus and blamed them for the team’s defeat. As a result, fans defiantly voted the winger as the club’s Player of the Month for October and continue to support the Academy star.

Former Charlton manager Dean Holden, who managed Rak-Sakyi on loan last season, described him as “phenomenal” and it is clear that Palace have huge potential. The next step would be to play him regularly rather than loan him out, but if Hodgson overlooks him, he may be better off spending the rest of the season away from Selhurst Park..
