Newsnow-Nottingham Forest to sign very expensive Wolves player

Nottingham Forest want to sign the £7m Wolves player, but it will come at a price.
Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis would like to sign Wolves goalkeeper Jose Saga – but it may not be possible.

This news comes courtesy of The Irish Sun.

What was reported about Forest and interest in goalkeeper Sa? Let’s take a closer look…

Nottingham Forest still interested in Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa
It looks like Forest are now going all out to sign a goalkeeper this month.

According to The Irish Sun, the Reds are still very interested in Jose Sa – with Evangelos Marinakis a particularly big fan.

However, Metsä fans have to wait for the champagne to be uncorked, as Sa’s contract is complicated.

He currently holds the gloves at Wolves and signing him would be extremely difficult given the financial situation involved.

Forest hope to sign a new goalkeeper ahead of schedule on Thursday, but they will eventually have to cut the fabric accordingly.

Who is Jose Sa?
The Portuguese stopper has been at Molineux since 2021 when he replaced Rui Patricio who joined Roma.

It’s no surprise that Marinakis wants to sign Sa because Metsä’s owner has a goalkeeper in Olympiakos.

Sa also played for Porto and Maritimo during his career, but he excelled at Wolves.

He kept 27 clean sheets in 98 appearances for Wolves and cost the club just £7m to sign from Greece.

You are established in the Premier League and would be a quality signing – if he wasn’t so expensive.

Therefore, Forest can park this interest and go back to the drawing board this month.

Rumor Rating: 8/10 – We really like this link, but it’s a shame Wolves aren’t likely to trade Forest for Sa this month.

Goalkeeper is their number one by some distance and that could be a disappointment for Marinakis for the 31-year-old.

Save this space, but we think Forest could return to this interest in the summer..
