Celtic now confirm former England international Anthony Patterson, to replace Joe Hart

Joe Hart has had a heroic finale to his Celtic career, which he will want to cap off by winning another Scottish Premiership.

The 37-year-old is also in contention for the Scottish Cup after his heroics in the semi-finals against Aberdeen, where he took the Bhoys to the final by saving Killian Phillips’ penalty in a shootout.

Hart, commanding his backline, contributed to Celtic’s 2-1 victory against Rangers last weekend, bringing the club within touching distance of winning the Scottish Premiership.

Despite the Parkhead fans’ feelings for Hart, his decision to retire has raised the million-dollar issue of who will become Brendan Rodgers’ new number one.
