With the January transfer window officially open, Celtic are expected to bring in some new faces. The Bhoys will most likely see several departures this month, but those within the club will also be hoping for a few arrivals.
Manager Brendan Rodgers believes his team can get some work done early on: “The club will do everything they can to support what we need, and what the team needs,” he said (STV Sport). “So there’s lots of work going on in the background and I’m pretty sure in this early period of the month we can get a bit of joy and get one or two in.”

There are a few positions on the team that could be strengthened. Signing a player, on the other hand, is no easy task.
Rodgers is well aware of this, having missed out on Declan Rice during his first stint as Hoops coach. The Irishman will be hoping for no more near misses of this nature in the future, and that his club can get its business done quickly.
The player, on the other hand, must be a good fit and contribute to the team. There is no point in signing players just for the sake of signing them, which Celtic may have done this summer.
