Of course, the obvious answer is, “I’m not sure.” Because things can change within a week. And the Bulls are motivated to find the best deal, and LaVine and his representative have made it clear that he is willing to be moved.
However, as of late Wednesday, news on the Lavine trade front was quiet. In fact, coach Billy Donovan stated that an update on LaVine’s injury situation would be provided later this week, and, while LaVine’s sprained right ankle has healed, the right foot issues that cost him 17 games have persisted. LaVine addressed the delicate situation in December.
. Seven days later, he received a platelet-rich plasma therapy injection in the troublesome foot.
“It bugs you, a boney, prominent area,” LaVine explained. “You don’t want to start messing around with that fifth metatarsal area, because it will become increasingly irritated. It’s just smart to calm down now so I can get back to 100% and hopefully finish the season strong to help everyone out.
