Chelsea signs ‘incredible’ £55m striker who’s been compared to Erling Haaland, he’s ‘extremely quick’

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko as the Blues look to sign an attacking midfielder.

The Blues have struggled to land a top-class striker to lead Mauricio Pochettino’s attack this January, with Chelsea still linked with Victor Osimheni.

With just two weeks left in the transfer window, Chelsea are running out of time to sign a striker, but a new name has now been revealed for the Blues.

According to the Evening Standard, £55m Slovenian Sesko is now on Chelsea’s radar, with the 20-year-old striker currently playing for Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

Red Bull graduate Sesko has often been compared to Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland due to his huge physical frame and relentless finishing in front of goal.

Former Chelsea technical director Christopher Vivell called him a “very fast” player, so it’s easy to see why the Blues are now looking at Cesko, even if the funding for such a deal is big.

Chelsea should consider Benjamin Sesko if they can move players. Sesko seems to be doing just that for Chelsea.

Given the striker’s youth, Sesko would fit in well with Chelsea’s long-term vision under Todd Boehly, and Pochettino is also the perfect coach for the Slovenia international.

However, given how much Leipzig want for Sesko, Chelsea could take a player or two to fund the deal, as the Blues are currently limited by how much they can spend in the market..
