The man who initially broke that the Philadelphia Eagles would be changing defensive coordinators in December is remaining steadfast about any additional coaching updates in the future.
Jay Glazer of FOX Sports Monday morning made clear despite rumblings of talk surrounding his status, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is not on the hot seat as the team prepares for their Monday Night wild card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I think it’s good. I don’t think he goes anywhere,” Glazer said. “I’m not hearing that he’s out.”
Glazer pointed to the Eagles’ recent success under Sirianni as a reason for the team to remain patient with the current head coach.
Sirianni is 36-19 as Philadelphia’s head coach with a Super Bowl appearance. He is the only coach in franchise history to reach the playoffs in his first three years.
So why is the conversation surrounding his job status even in the air?
To Glazer, it’s more about the level of success he’s had and the struggles of maintaining that success weekly.
