Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith reveals ‘one wish’ for offense under Kellen Moore

Last week, the Philadelphia Eagles made a coaching splash by hiring former Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore to the same position, replacing the now-fired Brian Johnson.

What reaction did Eagles star receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown have to the hiring? The duo appeared on Kay Adams’ “Up & Adams” show and revealed their “one wish” for Moore’s next season.
“Just let us do what we do,” Smith explained. “Like anybody else would say, just get us the ball.”

As Smith answered the question, both he and Brown began to smile. Fans may interpret this as a sign of their frustrations with Johnson during the second half of the season, with the laughter possibly resulting from conversations.

Brown and Smith discussed this exact topic behind closed doors.

There is no way to truly know, because Brown and Smith are unlikely to publicly criticize Johnson. Still, Smith’s comments reveal a lot about how the Eagles performed this season.
