Chelsea has completed the signing of 18-year-old striker Dujuan Richards from Jamaica’s Phoenix Academy.
In February of last year, Richards had a two-week trial at Newcastle United and was offered a contract before agreeing to join the Blues. “Dujuan Richards has officially completed his move to Chelsea from the Phoenix Academy,” Chelsea said in a statement.Chelsea has completed the signing of 18-year-old striker Dujuan Richards from Jamaica’s Phoenix Academy.
“The Jamaica international joined the Blues in the summer and trained alongside the first-team squad during our pre-season tour of the United States.” Richards turned 18 in November and has now completed his transfer to Stamford Bridge.
“Born in Port Royal, the young forward advanced to full international status at the Phoenix Allstars Football Academy, which he joined when he was 11 years old.”
