Liverpool are eyeing a £35m move for their long-term midfield target Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are interested in signing Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach this transfer window. According to TuttoJuve, another Premier League club is interested in signing Liverpool’s transfer mark.

According to an Italian source, Monchengladbach could sell Kone for €40m (£34.68m). The former Premier League and Champions League winners were keen to sign Kone in the summer transfer window ahead of the signing of Dutchman Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich. TuttoJuve have now reported that Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing Kone. Juventus are also interested in the French midfielder, but the Italian club are unwilling to pay €40m (£34.68m) for him.

Gladbach 2023 machine Manu Kone is on Liverpool’s radar Klopp and Liverpool continue to hunt for a midfielder after failing to sign Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia in the summer. After losing Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Klopp feels he is still weak in midfield and wants to sign Kone to fill the void left by the departing players.

Liverpool are also looking for a defender, preferably a left back. Both Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are injured and their return date is unknown. Liverpool have been linked with a number of players since the January transfer window opened three days ago. Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich, Fulham star Antonee Robinson, Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise and especially PSG star Kylian Mbappe. Jurgen Klopp is sure to make new signings this month as he looks to strengthen his side’s position at the top of the Premier League.
