Facing two of snooker’s legends was “an extraordinary encounter”, says Ross Muir.
The Musselburgh potter had to compete against John Higgins, a four-time world champion, in qualifying for the World Open on Wednesday. The following day, he had to compete against Stephen Hendry, a seven-time world champion, for a spot in the Welsh Open.
Higgins demonstrated areas of strength for excessively Muir in Barnsley, coming through 5-1, preceding Muir reversed the situation on Hendry and won 4-2.
