Chelsea are seemingly in desperate need of addressing their situation up top in the coming days, with some at the club not content with their options of Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja.
The latter has reportedly been made available for a transfer this month, however it feels unlikely that someone will match the asking price they have put out there.
He is also certainly not for sale unless the Blues do a deal themselves this month, with the short-term option being the main target at this stage.
Benzema fixtures this week
Romano has suggested that there is now likely to be an update on Benzema’s future after the next few matches.
He said: “Understand that there will soon be more meetings to discuss the future of Karim Benzema. The situation with Al Ittihad remains tense.
“SPL bosses still want KB to stay in Saudi Arabia, even to join to another club in Saudi Arabia. A return to Europe is only possible with a huge pay cut.
Chelsea are apparently targeting a long-term striker in the summer, so a loan deal is a great solution to their problems this month for the rest of the season.
Victor Osimhene and Ivan Toney have been claimed to be at the top of the pecking order for the Blues, but no deal can be reached this month due to significant squads with their current sides..
