The Reds are without both Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas at the moment. Robertson is still nursing a dislocated shoulder sustained in October, while Tsimikas looks set for a spell out after breaking his collarbone at the weekend.

As a result, 90min claim that Liverpool are looking into the signing of Fulham’s Antonne Robinson.

Having identified Robinson as a potential addition, it’s claimed that the Reds have already made contact with Fulham about bringing him to Anfield.

The 26-year-old is reportedly ‘open’ to the move and Liverpool are said to be working with the Cottagers to make it happen.

Another option the Reds are claimed to be exploring is the possibility of recalling Owen Beck from his loan spell at Dundee.

Robinson ready for Reds jump
In you’re Antonee Robinson, then why wouldn’t you be interested in making the move to Liverpool right now?

With Robertson and Tsimikas out, there’s a real opportunity for someone to step in and impress.

The American has been very good for Fulham this season and looks ready for a transfer.

Earlier this month, BBC Sport pundit Jermaine Jenas claimed that Robinson had been ‘brilliant’ against Liverpool. He locked Mohamed Salah down all game whilst providing a threat at the other end, too.

We know that Jurgen Klopp takes note of how players perform against the Reds when making decisions about transfers.

If Klopp really is looking for a left-back in the New Year, then Robinson’s impressive display in early December will be fresh in his mind.

Nevertheless, we’d be cautious about bringing the USA international in. The hesitation wouldn’t be to do with Robinson’s quality, more the fact that both Robertson and Tsimikas ought to be back before too long.

With one back fit and Joe Gomez in reserve, Liverpool would feel to have enough still. If we do go for a left-back, it should be someone like Robinson. But we’re not sure that the Reds will have that in their plans.
