After the “f**king crap” substitutions, Ten Hag sack talk
Yesterday, I watched the United vs. City game while traveling, and based on how the first half played out, you could legitimately bet on United to win. However, I believe Ten Hag will have problems in the summer if that was the best United could do in ninety minutes. He can’t schedule a game longer than ninety minutes, and his substitutions yesterday were a complete joke.
First of all, why did Evans lose it? He didn’t seem hurt, and when Ten Hag took
opted to rearrange the defense as a whole. What took place next? Foden scored in the area created by the two CBs’ insufficient proximity to one another when the young player entered the game on the right side.
Yes, it’s true that City controlled and that Rashford and Foden both scored excellent goals in the opening minutes, but I believe United’s final shot of the match came in the 23rd minute. That is completely ridiculous. Regardless of the fact that it was a City away game, they weren’t playing at their best yesterday, and fifteen minutes into the second half, they could have added a second goal if the players had taken a couple more chances.
It was a lost chance, but the league’s season is now finished.
Since City is a well-run team with goals that are similar to United’s on all fronts (despite the 115 charges, we’ll see what happens; let’s face it, those Abu Dhabi lawyers will find a way out of it), I think as a United supporter I have to accept that this is the reality now that they just aren’t that good.
