The Los Angeles Rams (9-7) and San Francisco 49ers (12-4) both advanced to the regular season finale. The Rams walked into Leviand’s Stadium on a three-game winning streak. Last week Kyren Williams had three rushing touchdowns in a 26-25 win over the New York Giants. Matthew Stafford threw two interceptions after not throwing a pick in four straight games.
The 49ers were the first team in the league to lock up a playoff spot in Week 14 this season. Brock Purdy played through a stinger and Christian McCaffrey sat out this game with a mild calf strain. The quarterback leads the league in rushing yards. San Francisco won the Week 2 matchup against the Rams 30-23. McCaffrey had 116 yards and Rams rookie Puka Nacua had 147 yards.
Lorenzo Reyes: Rams 25, 49ers 16 The Niners have the number 1 seed locked up, and the Rams will likely want to avoid falling to the number 7 seed in the NFC, as that spot will likely go against the Cowboys in the wild card round of the playoffs. The Rams have a lot on the line here and should match up against a team that will likely rest their starters.
Tyler Dragon: Rams 24, 49ers 23 The 49ers have won nine straight regular season games against the Rams. But the 49ers likely have multiple starters with the No. 1 seed in the NFC already locked up. San Francisco knows all too well about seasonal injuries. They are conservative in this NFC West battle.
Safid Deen: Rams 24, 49ers 17 Both teams made the playoffs, but I’m sure Matthew Stafford would have loved to play in the playoffs in old Detroit instead of going to Dallas. The Rams should have plenty of offense while the 49ers need to make sure their starters leave this game unscathed in the Super Bowl.
Victoria Hernandez: Rams 24, 49ers 20 The 49ers should use this game to rest and make sure Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey are A1 in the playoffs. The Rams have good momentum and will use this game to improve their playoff position.
Jordan Mendoza: Rams 25, 49ers 23 San Francisco earned the #1 seed, so it could be easy if the Rams come to the Bay Area. Los Angeles is looking to hang on to the No. 6 seed, and they’ll be playing with fire a little more to lock down that seed.
