If the San Francisco 49ers are going to make a run to the Super Bowl, they’re going to need running back Christian McCaffrey to stay healthy. McCaffrey suffered a calf injury in the second half against the 49ersand#039; Washington defeated the Commander 27-10 on Sunday at FedEx Field. While recovering from calf injuries can be difficult, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan was upbeat after the game, though he said he’ll learn more about his quarterback on Monday.

With the season long gone, the loss and rebuilding of the team, and possibly the upcoming high draft pick system, could set the franchise up for future success, no matter who will play after this season.
The Commanders close out their season on Sunday at FedEx Field when they host the Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 p.m. IN. If Washington loses its eighth straight game, Dallas (11-5) would clinch the NFC East and the conference’s No. 2 seed.
